Title: Cisco VCS / Expressway (ex Tandberg) roll back software upgrade
Post by: Dieselboy on July 07, 2016, 08:57:32 PM
If you upgrade your Expressway units and for what ever reason you need to regress the upgrade, you don't need to re-install the old software so that you can restore the backup. You can simply switch back to the previous partition which restores the software and the config at the point in time you did the upgrade. I've needed to do this, this week because of defects.

Quote
At the CLI (eg VMware console)

Execute the command: selectsw

The VCS will now list the current image and tell you which one is active

if feedback is "image1"  or "1"

Run a new command with selectsw like this

[VCS]# selectsw 2

if feedback is "image2"  or "2"

Run a new command with selectsw like this

[VCS]# selectsw 1

Finally reboot the VCS running command "reboot" or by using the Web page and select reboot instead of restart.

Hope you find it useful!
