Title: any public ntp maintenance-free
Post by: ggnfs000 on December 13, 2017, 05:27:06 PM
Googling find following as first:http://www.pool.ntp.org/en/

Looking for something that to point to and automatically adjust time no matter where in the world and forget it exists.
Mind me, I thinkg it is trivial thing that can cause a big headache.

Last time, ran a test overnight (spec benchmark) lasting whole night only to find out in the morning, the test aborted shortly after it finds out the time in the server on which it is running is out of sync.

NTP can be spoofed, I'd go with either an internal NTP server (not cheap) or a public secured NTP server (cheap, but will be a bit of work to set up).

^ If I curse the darkness, I'll also light a candle. :smug:

ok i will go for nist, spoofind danger is less as not much of a value in the setup i am doing.

Can you visualize my poker face in the morning because whole nightly worth of test has aborted due to time that is out-of-sync.
Oh yeah forgot to mention extra half hour digging through logs to find that out.
