All the compliance documentation was written for applications and/or application servers.

Now it's time to create docs for networking hardware and systems. What does the company do?

Search for "application," replace with "network hardware."

And now the network engineers have to figure out how to map their devices to a five-tier programming architecture model...

Fairly simple, just line it up with the OSI Model best as possible

    Presentation layer   - OSI Presentation
    Application layer - OSI Application
    Business layer - ???
    Data access layer - OSI Data Link Layer

Do note that the Multitier architecture page From Wikipedia, does state that the article needs additional citations for verification.

There's also all the questions about database requirements... and a lot of other areas I have to type "NA" for...  :squint:
