... only joking. >:D
This company here in Oz are offering 400MB and 1000MB internet at competetive prices. https://www.iinet.net.au/business/internet-product/fibre
As an example for competetive, we just signed up for 2 x 100M fibre internets for just under $700 for one site and just over $900 for another due to its location. And the connections that were replaced were two 50MB at $930 per month each!
So, to summarise this - internet is getting faster and cheaper and more viable for SMBs but the hardware to run it is the concern. I just imagine a few SMBs looking at running 1GB IPSEC IKEv2 VPNs everywhere :squint:
You can look at the price of the Internet here. It will make your CFO cry like a small baby :)
For example:

This is not by any chance the cheapest provider. Sorry, but I didn't find the English version.
Even the hardware is getting cheaper. Using your example of 1G IPSec, it used to be you needed a top of the line ASA 5580 to do that at a cost north of $50K. Now you can do it on a firepower 2130 for around $20K, and the top of the line box does 60G of IPSec for I don't want to know how much money.

This is good.
What's the budget? Have a look at the datasheets for the Fortigate 80E, 100E and 200E.
Lol, I get 1Gbps to my home.
Silly Australians, Internet is for Americans!
>:D
Thanks Simon - looking at Fortinet! :)
