Title: is there any way of getting internet access somehow from neighboring countries?
Post by: TheDudeAhmed on April 03, 2020, 07:29:54 PM
okay, I know this is a totally n00b question and probably not in the right forums but, I'm sick of my country bu**sh** internet, download 30-50 kilobytes/sec most of the time, Iraq is a country that have MASSIVE governmental corruption especially in communication, no 4G support, 3G is just 3G by name while it's totally dead on arrival if you try it, even a dail-up is faster, so I was thinking there could be a way even if expensive even if complicated (I'm willing to learn) even if it's hard, some sort of a way to get internet access from neighboring countries, maybe Jordan, Turkey, Kuwait etc all these have massive advancement in Network and Internet infrastructures

like anyway, satellite, eSIM, some magical way, anything okay just write whatever you can think of even what you can imagine based on your knowledge, even if it's a dead end, write it, just write something  :))

could always run an underground fiber to neighboring country, depending in distance.  best bet is to go show a dish service.

To actually *use* the Internet of another country 100%, you have to be in that other country 100%.

As for satellite service, that can vary wildly on expense and will guaranteed have a lag for downloads to start, as the signal has to traverse distances where the speed of light takes a human-noticeable amount of time to traverse.
