Well, *there's* your problem! Someone deleted all the AWS servers!
I saw this last night. I took two things from the story. One, Cisco does not have very good termination processes. He did this 5 months after he left. His accounts should have been shut down, and any keys/shared accounts should have been changed. Two, he must be an awesome engineer. Even after the charges the company he is working for now has petitioned the court to allow him to keep his H1B status, and not be sent home.

Didn't catch the part about the H1B thing... now it's just too funny...
"Let me tell you about my felony conviction..."
"WE DO NOT CARE WE NEED STAFF PLEASE KEEP WORKING FOR US!!!"
It was in the other article I read about this. I am trying to find the link again, but the short of it was a felony convection means you lose your visa. His current employer has asked the court to grant a waiver so he can stay in the US, and continue to work.

Edit: Found the other article...

Sentencing is in December, and this guy could be looking at 5 years in prison, potentially... be interesting to see how this all shakes out.
