Title: Name of feature help?
Post by: dlots on June 29, 2015, 09:02:06 AM
I was asked to make a setup where you dial 1 number and get connected to 5 people in a conference call, does anyone know what this feature would be called?

Ehh I'll take that as an answer if you can point me to a cisco config guide for it. :-)

meet-me
(but the others in conference need to dial the same number)
Its CUCM's bare bones conference bridge (no PIN, at least in CUCM8 it had zero features not even a PIN, they wanted you to buy the rest lol)

I think what he is looking for is to dial one number, and have it ring 5 extensions. Then connect those 5 extensions into a conference once they all answer. I have seen this when working DOD for an emergency line. If a phone in the emergency operations center was picked up it called all the security check points, and joined them in a conference call. Then the EOC can give the message to everyone at once. I don't know what this is called. I know it was a special system, and not CUCM that was doing the heavy lifting.

Quick Google looks like "conference participant dial-out" may get you some relevant hits.
