The guy who know how to use it also is not part of the team. I have some experience with JDSU, my question is - with only this device can we perform RFC 2544 and ITU-T Y.1564, because in my previous job we had two devices, and one of them we set it to be in loop mode. We have DWDM on which we can do loop on client port, but what if i want to make this test between switches ?
This is outside my area of expertise, so I'll ask questions that I'd ask if this was dropped in my lap. :)
Is there an acronym for doing the test between switches? And is the test between switches a matter of testing each port individually, or is it for a different test that's run integral to the switches involved, like a bandwidth saturation test or something like that?
