Title: Juniper virtual devices: good for JNCIA?
Post by: Mario on March 31, 2016, 03:19:57 AM
Hi

I decided to learn a bit of juniper. I have heard pf vMX and vSRX.

Are these good for the cert topics and maybe even higher than jncia?

Hi Mario, for JNCIA you should be able to manage it with the virtual editions alone, but for both JNCIS-ENT and JNCIS-SEC you might need some hardware as some of the features are not supported on the virtual editions. Ethernet switching for example.

I'm also having some issues with GRE tunnels on vMX but I'm not sure yet what's causing it
