Goo Gone is the stuff you want to use. Heat it up with a hair dryer and rub it with the Goo Gone.

Routing and Switching / SD-WAN Thoughts and Preferences
November 23, 2016, 09:50:18 AM

Does anyone have any experience deploying an SD-WAN implementation? We have been researching and sat with Viptela and they seem to be very promising. I think the only true competitor discussed within our shop has been Cisco iWAN. It's a little bit of a scary market right now because there are so many players and you could just about guarantee that half of them won't make it. So you have to be careful to buy a solution that you anticipate surviving. Just curious to know if any of my fellow engineers on here have deployed and what their experience has been like.

Congrats! I agree, it is a "fun" exam.

Thanks for sharing that post! Great read in my opinion. It's tough to constantly push yourself to dig deeper into technologies even after you have solved the problem. We work in a break/fix type of world where once an issue is fixed aka fire put out, we move onto the next one. I am finally at a new job/company where I can take a step back and do more investigative work and redesign according to the company needs. It is very refreshing and eye opening.

I am in 2 other Slack rooms now and I really like it. Neither one has been overwhelming.

Routing and Switching / Re: 6509E Replacement

Thanks wintermute, its a DC environment with 5ks at the access layer. I have started digging into the 9k and it looks like the 9504 might fit the bill. It might be a "comfortability" aspect with me leaning towards the 4507. . . . and I can admit that.

Forum Lobby / Slack Channel?!?!?

Hey Everyone, I have been MIA for a bit and saw a few threads related to a "Slack" channel for the forum. Did that ever come to fruition? I would love to join if there is one.

Routing and Switching / 6509E Replacement
November 15, 2016, 03:02:29 PM
Any recommendations on a 6509E replacement? Current setup is 2 6509E's with split STP and HSRP instances to share the load.

Requirements
-4x 10GB Ports
-96x 1GB Ports

Debating dual 4506s or 1 4507 with dual Sups. A coworker mentioned a 9k but I think that might be overkill. Still researching but figured I would ask my knowledgeable compadres here.

you'll be the unluckiest SOB in the world to get that in the lab exam..... I've  never seen that feature IRL either

Cool, I won't overly stress it then.

Feature navigator? Also.... Super old school

I will look into it. Going thru some CBT Nuggets CCIE videos and this came up but wouldn't work in my BGP Peer Groups Lab.

Came across the inability to receive ORF prefix list when using a Peer-Group in BGP. IOS issue?

7200 Software (C7200-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M), Version 15.2(4)S3,

R1(config-router)#neighbor EXT65700 capability orf prefix-list ?
send  Capability to SEND the ORF to this neighbor
