Thanks for the reply!
So IGMP should  be enabled only on the router connecting VLAN and PIM is enabled on all the routers connecting to the multicast source.
Let me know, if i have understood otherwise.

Hi,

I have some confusion with regards to IGMP and PIM. I guess both are used for multicast. So is it compulsary to configure both PIM and IGMP on a router for multicast to work? As IGMP will only allow host to join a multicat group whereas PIM would provide routing for the multicast flow.
