Ristau,

I have one question for you. With me not even being here a month, would that come across negatively? I don't want to be a jerk. We do have reviews coming up soon. I thought about bringing it up in a professional manner, but I am not sure if I should

You always have to give your boss a chance. Meet with him, treat it like an interview and gather facts on whats the state of your job is and what the future looks like. Voice any concerns you have and see if he is open for help solving them. At the end, both of you should have a solid understanding of your place on the team.

If you dont like the outcome them bounce.

Later when questioned on the short timeframe you can explain the company was not a good fit for your career path and working with your ex-boss didnt help to get it back on track. This gives a positive spin on it showing you have clear expectations for your career growth and are willing to push. Shows you dont just punch a clock 9 to 5.
