Scroll to the bottom. Although the big boys will bounce back after a headline-grabbing breach, the little guys are going to fall and fall hard in the wake of a breach. Half of the firms that have an outage lasting longer than 10 days will close their doors immediately.

Other firms with lesser breaches still go under because of those breaches with regularity.

This is the reason for small and medium size firms to take security seriously. 3 out of 4 firms are going to get a breach, and of those breached firms, they're going to get massacred good and hard.

I've seen different degrees of massacree. DDOS and port scans are quite light and fluffy massacres, by comparison.
