but then i observe that they mention the word tunnel

and i see there is ipsec, Gre, dmvpn, flex vpn. ikev2 and how do i get confused

and also i see that it says l2tp uses ipsec it is very confusing all this issue

There are protocols to create a connection: PPP, L2TP, VPN

Then there are the others... IPSEC = IP Security, so it will include a family of encrypting protocols, including IKEv2.

GRE, DMVPN, and Flex VPN are methods of connecting, used between routers.

My question to you is if you need a way to remember the differences, or if you are trying to solve a particular problem.
Take a baseball bat and trash all the routers, shout out "IT'S A NETWORK PROBLEM NOW, SUCKERS!" and then peel out of the parking lot in your Ferrari.

I would suggest PPP, L2TP, VPN are consumer grade solutions
GRE, DMVPN, and Flex VPN are commercial grade solutions
