Our team had some discussions with the customer today, really need to define where we are heading, currently not sure.

So what are you all doing with SaaS, IaaS & Paas with respect to the cloud?

Here at Major International Megacorporation, we use some cloud providers to help host applications that need to be accessible to people other than those that can connect to our corporate VPN. Also, they permit additional emergency capacity for various things... sort of like contractors or other flexible staffing arrangements, but for servers.

We are definitely going to be using tools to monitor conditions in our hosted cloud, and that means I get to put the cloud firewalls into our firewall management system. That's going to be very interesting, especially if we're able to provision rules directly from that system to the cloud firewalls.
