Looks like fun stuff. So what happens in a Gulf of Tonkin-like incident in which an attack is reported, but isn't happening? Now the whole navy can fire upon ghost attackers, presumably.

Which gets me thinking... a DoS attack on such a system could be a matter of feeding it enough targets so as to create the military equivalent of "SEIM overload".

What would be even BETTER is if they used that technology for the better good rather than to blow something or someone up.

I'm tired of reading or hearing about money being spent on killing people.

They could use it for early warning systems for natural disasters.

They could find those missing planes?

I've just caught on about the Tonkin incident you mentioned. EXACTLY this.

Have you heard of "Brexit"? Lots of government lies there surrounding what is best for the majority of the population. I'm not even allowed to vote on it because of a cock-up and I'm outside of the UK.

Oh yeah, the Brexit... it's like the UK's version of Donald Trump. Scary as hell to the establishment, popular with a goodly chunk of the population.

I think what is really needed is an independent analysis done of both pro's and cons of both staying and leaving. I am yet to see one. But there's plenty of scare-mongering going around about if we leave the EU.

At the end of the day we don't really have a say anyway. We're not ever given the full picture either. Like your Tonkin example, all you need to do is google "conspiracies that turned out to be true" (I can't find any on the UK though). Given that google search it only asks questions about what is really going on right now that we're unaware of.

Kinda like how we can recommend product (x) for a solution, but we have no idea how that impacts our relationship with other vendors, CIO strategy, purchasing, accounting, etc. etc. If our product gets selected, it's not for the reasons we gave.
