In the April 9, 2019 Ask The Headhunter Newsletter a felony stands between a reader and a job. Question Nearly every position I have found that I am qualified for in logistics is off limits to anyone with a felony within the past seven years. I’m past the five-year mark. This is a good one - mentions preemptive references and making big commitments up front. Worth reading, even if it's only certain people you know that have felony convictions.

True, jobs involving children are a no-go for any felon convicted of a crime that involves "moral turpitude."

But, not a lot of IT jobs involve kids. Lots of datacenter work or colocation center work can be done.
