Job Description Summary:

GDIT is seeking a Security Support Specialist to support the Center of Information Technology (CIT) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD.  You will be part of a 10-member team supporting the Network Services mission for CIT within NIH.  The security team collaborates closely with the engineering, operations and Project Management office across a range of standard daily operations and projects both large and small.

IN THIS ROLE A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE:

Provide support for Infoblox DNS administration
Perform security system event analysis, investigation, and validation
Provide support for incident response for events encompassing but not limited to data spillage, malware, misconfigurations, non-acceptable use or other technical issues
Develop, write, and edit forensic reports and/or presentations
Participate in the administration of industry-standard security tools, such as Splunk, Grafana, Tenable, Dynatrace and others.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two years experience with Infoblox
Minimum of two years experience migrating DHCP, DNS, and IP address management to Infoblox
Minimum of two years network problem resolution experience
Basic understanding of Cisco and Palo Alto Firewalls.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST cybersecurity framework, NIST Risk Management Framework
Must be able to obtain a NIH Public Trust
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience with any of the following:  IPAM & DNS experience; Cisco routing and switching; Cisco ASA Firewalls; Palo Alto Firewalls orF5 Load Balancers
Be comfortable with troubleshooting networking issues via firewall logs and TCPDump
CCNA
Security+ Certification
