I'm not sure if Telstra (the ISP) have enabled IPv6 on their ADSL presented services yet, I'm still googling but looks like they may have.

Is it possible with Cisco routers to get an IPv6 and IPv4 over ADSL? Anyone seen it? :)

Yes, I can confirm that works. What router are you using, an 877?

My provider used to have a config for dual stack on their site but it has been removed. Maybe this article helps: http://www.booches.nl/2011/02/xs4all-cisco-877-and-ipv6/

Nice! Thanks!

What I'm trying to understand is, do we run a separate Dialer interface for IPv6? This would be two PPP connections, then. Or do we run a single dialer in dual stack?

SimonV

Just a single dialer interface with both v4 and v6 addresses. It might take some googling to get it working perfectly though. For example, the prefix delegation will only take care of the addressing but that does not give you any DNS information. For that you need to set the other-config flag and configure a DHCPv6 server with the DNS addresses on the router.

It's all coming back to me now, fun stuff
