I hate it when vendor documentation doesn't line up with command-line reality.

I also hate it when "httpd: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName " shows up... looks like I get to edit /etc/hosts... and /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf for ServerName... but I'll await vendor confirmation before I go that route.

I mean, I'm trying to do the right thing and not use a self-signed cert for people that want to hit the web interface of my network device, but it seems like there's more to it than the docs implied. Now I have to learn how to be a *nix webadmin.

Turns out, there's also a ssl.conf file out there somewhere... who knew, right?

After an hour with the vendor, one comes to discover that there was an error in their documentation.

The certs work now and I should have a new PDF file within 24 hours.
