I saw that the other week that Microsoft cloud (Azure?) supports linux. Thought that was odd.

To be honest we only use Microsoft for a few things we have to. I manage 90 virtual machines and they're mainly RHEL. I have 2 Windows 2012 domain controllers and 2 other Windows servers.

It is as according to the prophecy.

They are also adding SSH to their stuff as well. Link - https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/powershell/2015/10/19/openssh-for-windows-update/

I also heard somewhere that their next server OS will be using BIND for DNS.

Not really surprising, actually. Microsoft can expand its service offerings if its software starts talking like *nix.

I would *love* native SSH server support on a Windows server. It would probably entice me to start learning Powershell.
