The sea fibre is broke again. Our bovpn traffic between sri lanka and perth is going the other way around the planet through America.
I'm making a voip call through the vpn and out the pstn through our sip cube in Australia.
Aside from the delay, jitter is good. Although do get the odd dropped packet.  The itsp don't support ilbc or opus so making the best of g729 when theres no packet loss or delay which exceeds the jitter buffer.
I'm wondering if i can set up a transcode profile solely for pstn calls from sri lanka so that at least ilbc can be used across the Internet.
Made a pstn call to a Australian mobile phone and he said it was loud and clear.
I took a photo of the call statistics. VOIP has a max RTT of 300ms. We're hovering around the 420ms mark at the moment. But on a good day it's under 100ms.

Sri Lanka is good. Hotel buffet is amazing. I might put some weight on while I'm here which would be nice as i struggle to maintain that.
Tinder is interesting. A lot of norwegians it seems, and everyone else has been educated at a university in England. Some USA Navy chics too.

Not sure what's happening this weekend. By chance someone in the social circles from Perth is here on holidays so might meet up with him.
I'm keen to use my ship wreck diver ticket but no one else dives.

On my India trip, I had to nibble at breakfast because the work lunch was always huge, and we kinda sorta needed to make sure we cleaned our plates. I usually had an apple for supper.

At RSA, I ate breakfast buffet and dinner. No lunch unless I needed to pick up more Coke Zero at the Walgreens.

For breakfast this morning I had a small one - 3 American pancakes, 3 or 4 saussages, bacon, blueberries and 2 cups of coffee. For lunch we went to a Sri Lankan restaurant and to be honest I'm still full!

Looks like a cool place to visit. In my Navy days I spent a lot of time in that general area. A lot of port calls to Singapore. We made it up off the coast of Bangladesh once but we never got to go ashore. I would love to get back to Australia though. Had to be my favorite country of all.
