When you're one person that does everything  - sometimes a lab can be a waste of time. Since there's absolutely no impact to business operations when I configure this, it's completely safe to work on a this as a production system during business hours :)

It goes live when I send the email out, after that changes will be a bit harder.

Expressway 8.8.1 is out and the release notes sound worrying:

Notable Issues in this Version
CSCva36208: Rich Media Session license is not consumed by Single NIC Expressway-E hosting Jabber Guest
service
Changes to the licensing model in X8.8 release have revealed an issue with licensing of the Jabber Guest service on
the Expressway-E server. When the Expressway pair is part of the "Single NIC" Jabber Guest deployment, the
Expressway-E should count one RMS license for each Jabber Guest call, but it does not.
This issue could cause confusion about the server's load because the usage appears low, even when the server is
processing multiple calls. We recommend the Dual NIC Jabber Guest deployment.
If you are using the single NIC deployment, make sure your Expressway-E is correctly licensed to ensure continuity of
service when upgrading in future.

So, may be the license decrements not occurring are a nice bug :/
I have Jabber Guest configured on this pair and I have a single nic deployment. It's another license fee for dual-nic and it's not required as you can do NAT through the ASA to present the inside global IP to the inside local network. (ie the public routable IP address as seen on the internet, to the inside network. Since the Expressway-C tries to communicate with the public IP instead of the DMZ IP).

outbound uri dialling is working but i asked tac to make an inbound call and they said they got a fast busy. I checked my expressway E logs and couldnt see a call come in. I want to make sure it's hitting the firewall next and go from there. My SRV records are there so the call should come in. I've got nothing to test with though 😂

:)

It's not "live" so this is the lab :)

It's all working now, though. Video calls look lovely on the new DX650 as well :)
