This is interesting... does it mean VMWare wants to do more networking stuff?
Take a baseball bat and trash all the routers, shout out "IT'S A NETWORK PROBLEM NOW, SUCKERS!" and then peel out of the parking lot in your Ferrari.

They already have been doing more networking stuff with NSX... but dunno what the acquisition of PLUMGrid holds...

Its really strange because NSX is supposed to be their entire network stack from virtualization, bare metal and ML2/Openstack.

Probably took a page from this Cisco playbook. Buy up the competition and shut 'em down.

Yeaaahhhhh I was wondering the same thing regarding buying them just to shut them down... I hope there is more to it than that though..
