Never use a bank debit card.

Always use a regular credit card.

Card gets hacked, get a new one, keep a list of everyone to notify when your card is hacked so that they can switch to the new number.
Take a baseball bat and trash all the routers, shout out "IT'S A NETWORK PROBLEM NOW, SUCKERS!" and then peel out of the parking lot in your Ferrari.

It wasn't the card that got hacked. It was their machines which got infected with malware.

Same difference. At the end of the day, card numbers got harvested. This happens so often now, I just plan on it and keep an eye on my card statements for anything unusual.

Reminds me of when this happened at target. The card readers had malware hacked onto them, then with each swipe card details were being stored. Can't remember how the details were passed to the hackers but there was one slip up which traced it back to Target.

Bear in mind that POS means something else in this context.
