Some of you may know from back-channel conversations that I'll be going over to $VENDOR next Thursday, after almost 4 years at Global Megacorporation GmbH. I like to keep my employer information on my LinkedIn profile, so I don't have to post a disclaimer on every post that these are my ideas and comments, not those of my employer, etc.

Don't worry, I'll still provide hosting and interaction on the forums. You guys are the tops and deserve the best, so here I am.  :smug:

But seriously, I am very thankful for all the friendships and mentoring here, so my involvement will not change.

My area of specialization will be in NAC, and the vendor I will work for... let's just say it starts with an "F" and rhymes with "Shmorescout"... when I talk NAC here, I'll try to be vendor-neutral, but if I have things that are specific to ForeScout CounterACT, I'll share them. Of course, I'll have an NDA, so no supar sekrit stuff, but general help, I'll be happy to provide.

I'll be getting into an architect role, so I'm hoping that I don't become one of those bad architects that rubber-stamps vendor recommendations while sipping cognac all day. I've seen those guys...  I want to stay sharp and do the right thing by getting the right gear lined up to do the right job and to leave enough wiggle room for the engineers to make my ideas doable.

congrats on the new position,  seems like there is a lot of that going around this place as of late.

hopefully this place remains unchanged, I'd have to bail if it turned into www.nacing-forums.com

Indeed... NAC has that love it or hate it kind of appeal. Trust me, this will always be www.networking-forums.com.

Thanks, and yes. So much so, that I've decided to learn a little Hebrew and stream some Israeli television. I won't be living there, but I'll be working with lots of people from that part of the world and it always helps to grow in understanding, even if it's on a basic level.

So far, I've watched Mossad 101 on Netflix - GREAT series - and am now binge watching Prisoners of War.
