I would like to see the Packers *not* make the playoffs this year. I'm anti-cheering for them. Also the Patriots, but realistically, I think both make it. Patriots because they're the Patriots and Packers because they're NFC North and somebody's gotta win that division, might as well be them.

I now propose a thoroughly uninformed round-up of all the teams in the NFL, followed by a Super Bowl pick that will be, at best, 50% accurate, which is what most sports writers do, anyway... :P

CLEVELAND BROWNS: I think they're gonna suck this year. Do not expect them to win many games, and that may be an understatement.

CHICAGO BEARS: These guys need more than just a change at quarterback to be effective. Expectations set at a low, low, low level for this team.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS: Are they all back, again? I guess they'll be in the Super Bowl again, unless the Steelers can stop them.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS: Please, please, PLEASE beat the Patriots.

Agreed. In the AFC, I'm picking Patriots, Houston, Raiders, and Steelers as division champs. Bengals get to flame out as a wild card and my other wild card pick will be the Chiefs.

In the NFC, my div champ picks are Cowboys, Packers, Falcons, and Cardinals. Wild cards are Seahawks and Giants.

should we setup a football pick'em group somewhere?   not fantasy, don't have time for all that, but just a simple pick the winners every week?  I think yahoo, or fox, cbs or espn should have has something like that.
