Don't subcontract your job choices

In the July

Take a baseball bat and trash all the routers, shout out "IT'S A NETWORK PROBLEM NOW, SUCKERS!" and then peel out of the parking lot in your Ferrari.

Basically, if you want a job, a GOOD job, don't leave it to ZipRecruiter. Talk to managers. Go to trade shows and talk with companies you're interested in working for - then talk to the managers at those companies! Ask what it's like to work there, and then the conversation will turn to whether or not *you* want to work there. Once you say yes, the manager will make sure your resume gets through the system, even if it's a post-it note with your name and list of past jobs.
