Guys,

The last two weeks have been a nightmare. Trying to deploy a new build for one of our sites, which involves a remote site, a 2911 running CME, and 30 7861 SIP phones.

First Problem:

Phones keep getting registered/unregistered. We found the fix by rolling the phones firmware back a few revs.

Second Problem

Unfortunately, we were not able to get this to work. So maybe I can get some help from you guys. At our remote sites, we have 6 main lines, in a hunt group. However the issue we came across is SIP has a max shared-line value of 19. What we were trying to accomplish is, make it so "line 1" on every phone points to a single DN.

So if we have 6 DNs (one for each line), this would be seen (and could be picked up) on ANY phone in the site.

So for example our phones look like this:

(Inter-site line 1)
(Inter-site line 2)
(Main Line 1)
(Main Line 2)
(Main Line 3)
(Main Line 4)
(Main Line 5)
(Main Line 6)
(Paging line)
(Extension)

so we are trying to emulate a traditional PBX in which line 1 is on all the phones, and we could not get this solution to work on SIP. On Skinny it works just fine. What is the best way to engineer a SIP solution in which all 9 lines (intersite 1 - paging line) are on every phone, and also share a DN. So If client A calls the store, and person on extension 201 picks up. They put line 1 on hold, and every other phone has line 1 on hold. They page a specific person, and no matter where that person is in the builing, they can go to the phone and pick it up.

You help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. I can post configs, if you want to see what we have.

If you create one DN and assign it to every phone on line 1, then when line 1 is in use every phone will show line 1 in use. However, no one will be able to use line 1 when it is in use or on hold.

This thread is a bit old now, did you ever get it fixed?
