DHCP Server Response

Hello Buddies

                        When DHCP client connected to the DHCP server
The following process/stages would be occurred.

1.Discover

2.Offer

3.Request

4.Ack

In DHCP server have some limited numbers of IP Ranges.
Scope reservation ip ranges 192.168.0.100 ~ 192.168.0.200

If 100 systems connected to the DHCP server. All devices got an ip between the ip ranges. The ip's got over. Then we'll extend the ip range's in our router/DHCP server.

Ok.

At that same time 100 systems connecting and getting ip's depends upon priority.
Then 101 th system discover the same server.it will never getting an ip from DHCP server.

So, I'm asking what will happen at that time.

- Any error will showing on that client.

Or

- still it's tried to get an ip

The server just won't answer to the DISCOVERs, so the client will retry forever or turn to APIPA depending on the OS.
