DIY VPN (Router PC) setup help sharing dedicatid IP

so I have a dedicated IP from torgard i can get the settings to set up a VPN router from them no problem. what I want to do is turn the old PC to a VPN router connect to my VPN but then broadcast my own VPN from it so everyone that uses Netflix will be using the same IP already got warnings about sharing account. not going to use that PC for anything else so looking for the best router OS/software and setup help if I can do it whit 1 PC would be nice but if not could use 2 old PCs acceptable

First off you are probably going to find it isn't worth the effort. Netflix is pretty good at figuring this kind of stuff out. For example they probably have a list of all IPs associated with torgard, and know it is used for this kind of stuff. Even if it works at first they may figure out over time, and then it breaks. However, if you want to try there are a couple ways.

1. The easy way is to just configure a web proxy like Squid on your system. Then have everyone setup their proxy configurations to point to the Squid box. This is probably the easiest, but a lot of smart TVs, etc don't always support configuration of a proxy.

2. This option will require more than one system. Everyone that you want to connect will have to also have a system to use. Then you configure a VPN with something like strongswan to connect your box to the other system. Then the other person changes the gateway to point to the strongswan box on their side. This is not a small or easy setup, and you will spend more time trying to keep it working than it is worth.

Multiple streams going to the same IP address == shared account. Unless everyone takes turns watching Netflix, it's easy to notice two different streams going to the same destination. All my traffic passes through my ISP router, which has the external IP that Netflix would track. If I channeled all my traffic through a local VPN to hide my local address, I'd still be using the same IP on the way out.

I do have a Netflix family setup that allows me to have 5 logins, which fits nicely for me, my wife, and 3 kids. Would going that route alleviate your issue?
