I'm flying to India!  :woohoo:

I fly business class on Emirates...  I LOVE MY COMPANY'S INTERCONTINENTAL TRAVEL POLICY!!!

But I looked at the menus, and, honestly, I'd rather have what they're getting to eat in coach... paneer makhani. I love that stuff.  :boohoo:

Oh well, having a seat that extends into a flat bed should take the edge off of that pain.

Next week, I get to train up the staff in Hyderabad.

Man even coach on Emirates is boss. Enjoy that trip.. I can't say I want to go to India but at least the flight will be awesome.

What are you training up on?

Please don't mistake my experience for intelligence.

A weekend thread. WooWoo!!

I'm buying a new door and replacing it. Also sanding and painting up the trim on all the other doors. Supposed to be high 80's this weekend so it'll be my last weekend to do some outside stuff. Trying to fit in football on Saturday. My new lab server is now running ESXi 6.0 so I'll be getting that in my rack and moving VM's to it.

Training on network security, of course.

In the first-business lounge now. Very comfy.

Dubai International Airport is hot. You think these oil sheikhs could afford a little more air conditioning.

Safe in Hyderabad Hitec City. My room at the Trident Hotel is fabulous.

Good luck India should be a exciting trip.

This morning I spent my time upgrading my 5.5u2d lab to vsphere 6.0u1 and NSX 6.2 and of course cross vcenter VMotion is not working for multiple nsx managers lol.

That's interesting that your company will actually fly you over (you'd think they'd cheap out and go remote access/video conference).  Anyway enjoy the trip. :)

We actually do most of our training via phone and Lync share, but the company also values face-to-face interaction as a way to build up internal social networks. Basically, if you've met a guy and shook his hand, it's much easier to help him out than if he's just a FROM on an email.

We're going to go out after lunch with the local hosts here. See some sights, maybe buy some clothes. Tomorrow, we start an 11-7 shift, as that's very close to the European work hours.

Hyderabad traffic is fierce. Do not attempt to drive here. Seek the services of a professional. :)

On the other hand, if you like Indian food, this is the place to be. Well, one of them, at any rate. It's really great to be meeting with people that know their stuff, no matter where they live, that's for sure!

Great week here, we go with our co-workers from Hyderabad to a few sights tomorrow and then the big flight back home. The food here has been fantastic, all week. 10/10, would visit again.

A little Hindi goes a long way and a little Telugu goes even longer.

Also, if you order from Paradise Biryani - which you absolutely should - be sure to be ready to split it with some friends, at least 3, I would say. It's 1.5 liters (7 cups) of some of the best rice you'll ever have... but that is A LOT OF BIRYANI. No way did I eat it all, even a third I did not eat.

RTFM

Apologies for bringing up an old thread.

Dean,

I'm glad you got to eat at Paradise Biriyani & experience traffic in Hyderabad, lol.  Did you had any time to visit any of the places?
