Apstra Week1 - My Thoughts

Wow, what a week to start my new role at Apstra!

First Cisco announces their Intent Based Networking Solution (IBNS) Network Intuitive, the same week I accept my new position. And now it appears every vendor is starting to rebrand their "SDN" products as IBNS. I think I jumped into the middle of this at an exciting time!

Ive always been a big fan of Apstra and their IBNS approach to DC

Question, sir:

Is there a way to get DC intent based networking to work well in conjunction with NAC, which is essentially access switch IBNS? I'm particularly interested in the security aspects of DC IBNS and having them dovetail with what the NAC system is doing.

Im sure that would get quite complex.

Hence my question. :smug:

But this is where information from the NAC system would get used to determine who/what gets to access datacenter resources... and where datacenter IBNS can interface with that data to make for a more secure DC.
